FirstCall Opens New Command Center

FirstCall now supporting roadside services from the most state-of-the art command center in Mexico.

Responding to fluid and dangerous safety threats throughout Mexico, STEELE™ today announced the opening of a new state-of-the-art command center that will support the firm’s enterprise risk management and security operations throughout the region.

“Several months ago we launched FirstCall, Mexico’s first full-service vehicle tracking and emergency roadside assistance service. Not only have we reached a subscriber milestone, we are now offering services from the most state-of-the art command center in our industry in Mexico,” said Greg Pearson, chief operating officer. “Our new Command Center is at the heart of our entire operation and we are up and running 24 hours a day, seven days a week.”

STEELE, a business advisory and risk management company providing investigative, consulting and strategic security services globally, has tripled the size of its operations center in Mexico City, reflecting anticipated growth and increased need for business intelligence and protection for international travelers, local and expatriate business executives and their families.

The new STEELE Command Center houses a staff of bilingual security and intelligence advisors trained specifically to manage incidents and advise clients on threat conditions. The center leverages cutting-edge technology and a number of back-up and redundant systems to ensure that FirstCall and STEELE can constantly communicate with FirstCall subscribers, STEELE clients and with government officials in the event of an emergency. “We feel that the substantial security and safety risks associated with driving or conducting daily business of any kind in Mexico demand a solution that both local nationals and expatriates can access for immediate assistance and support,” said Craig Colburn, VP of operations at STEELE, which operates out of 16 regional offices worldwide.

Recent headlines and U.S. government warnings have highlighted increasingly chaotic conditions throughout Mexico, including widespread drug-trafficking and related violence, epidemic real and “virtual” kidnapping and a generally unstable environment. STEELE provides emergency services to corporate fleet and individual vehicles in Mexico City, Monterrey, and along the Mexican-American cross-border region, including high-growth areas such as Nuevo Laredo, Ciudad Juarez and Tijuana. Clients can also subscribe to Global Rapid Response™ (http://www.globalrapidresponse.com), which provides regional incident management, evacuation services, and intelligence services. In a related move, STEELE recently announced a new alliance with MedjetAssist™, the nation’s leading emergency medical evacuation membership program, jointly offering clients a unique portfolio of enhanced travel and expatriate medical and security services throughout Mexico.
